Ready to escape to a festival which is not only central to the music but also to culture, art and mental well being? The Pohoda Festival in Slovakia is what you are looking for. ‘Pohoda’ means well being in Slovakian, it is where the atmosphere strive the holistic features.
Pohoda finds it essential to feel relaxed, have pleasure and enjoy your days off with diverse music genres; pop, rock, dance music, techno, house, drum&bass and hip hop. Activities such as theatre, discussions, dance and literature workshop are also a perfect get away for a couple of days. Art installations, public art, spatial media and interactive works becomes a great part of the pohoda festival life. Pohoda is about freedom and tolerance, where music, arts and culture meets each other. A place where you can escape your daily routine and still feel at home but at a festival.
#Dates & Tickets
It is one of greatest music and arts festivals in Slovakia. It takes place at Trencin Airport and welcomes around 30.000 visitors. The 20th edition is this year, from 7. July to 9. July 2016. Tickets are now €89 and of reasonable considering it is a 3-day festival and camping is included. It also brings international and national acts up on stage. Trencin is about 120km away from the capital of Slovakia namely Bratislava. You can get international flights to Bratislava and catch a bus transfer from there to Trencin. Another option is to fly to the cultural city Vienna, which is only 30 min drive to Bratislava, where you can also hop on the bus transfer. Trains from Bratislava travelling to Kosice also stop at Trencin, here non-stop shuttles busses are at service for a little fee.
