EXIT Festival – 15 years of sharing LOVE

Come and celebrate EXIT’s 16th edition at the Petrovaradin Fort in Novi Sad!

Exit is a unique festival. Compared to other festivals, everything is just slightly rougher. Enormous partly destroyed ramparts surround the stages, and getting there is only possible via stone bridges and ancient tunnels. The Danube River is flowing at the bottom the ramparts and across the water you can see the centre of Novi Sad. Known for the lovely food and the affordable nightlife. Summers in Serbia are hot. That’s also the main reason why Exit is held at night. Around 6 pm, the first visitors enter the festival terrain and the first artists take their places. When the sun sets down, bigger artists make their appearance. At night, Exit is at her best. This lasts till the sun comes up and even the most diehard festival visitors return to their sleeping spots.

See you abroad!

The location

Novi Sad, Serbia

Novi Sad is a sparkling city with approximated 300.000 inhabitants. The city centre is a mix of beautiful squares with impressive churches and ancient buildings, but also ugly architecture from the seventies, messy streets and alleys filled with little shops and cafeterias are present. In 10 minutes you walk from the centre to the Danube Bridge. At the left side of the bridge you will find several beaches, and at the other side something more special: the biggest fortress of Petrovaradin.

What do I have to know?

From Utrecht (NL) it is approximately a 1.650 kilometres ride to Novi Sad. This will take you around 14 hours in total. During the ride you will pass several toll roads. At most of these check points you can pay by credit card, but we would still advice you to bring cash with you.

In Austria and Slovenia it is obligated to have a vignette on your car. A vignette is a form road pricing used on vehicles to indicate that road tolls have been paid. The sticker has to be visible on the front window of the car when you pass the border of Austria/Hungary. You can buy vignettes at every border or at the ANWB in the Netherlands. There are different vignettes for cars and motorcycles. Last, you can buy vignettes with different validities, such as 10 days, 2 months and 1 year.
