Germany’s number 1 hip hop festival with a raw edge: splash! 2021

This festival can best be described as the German equivalent of WOO HAH!, but at a far more exciting and stunning location. Against the backdrop of the industrial Ferropolis site, known from the popular Melt Festival, splash! invariably presents the very best of the hip hop scene.

At splash! you will encounter the world’s greatest rappers as well as many underground urban acts and emerging talents from the scene. The decor of excavators and hidden bunkers ensures a perfectly fitting raw setting. Between the energetic performances you can enjoy the beach and the forest along Lake Gremmin and the endless eccentric outfits that pass you by. Although splash! often sells out already in January, it is not that well known yet among fans outside of Germany. So it’s about time to go ahead and discover this festival!

Splash! Festival can only be entered when you are 7 years or older. Up to the age of 15, you can only enter the festival under the supervision of an adult. In all cases it is mandatory to show proof of identity!

At the festival you can pay with your wristband. You will get your wristband upon arrival at the entrance after exchanging your ticket. It can be topped up at various points at the festival with cash, pin or credit card. It’s also possible to top it up in advance with your festival account on the official Splash! Festival website.

What do I have to know?

In cooperation with Interrail, Festival Travel offers train tickets with which you can travel through Europe. The fastest way to travel to Splash! Festival is by taking a plane to Berlin or Leipzig. In cooperation with TIX we help you find the cheapest flights.

Be aware of the limited luggage space, especially when you have to take a tent and other camping gear with you.

Festivals are perfect to visit during a European road trip. Decide for yourself how much space you have, who you take with you, where you stop and how far you go.

Keep in mind that you will pass several toll roads on the way. At most of these check points you can pay by credit card, but it’s always wise to bring cash with you.
